With Spotlightr courses you can create and publish your video course in just a few minutes. We offer a variety of different ways to access your course from completely open to paid offers.
Prefer video? Here's a video tutorial of an overview of courses.
To get started, navigate to the desired Project and then click on the Courses Module and then click on New Course.
Once you name your course the configuration page will open. On the left side are your customization and settings options and on the right is where you add your content like videos and documents.
Let's add some content. Courses are built in Sections, and the first section is created by default. Click in the field to name your section:
Under Section Type we already have Videos, but you can click the drop-down menu to see the other type of content you can add:
In this section we'll add some videos. Select Videos and then click on the Search field to add the videos to this section:
If videos haven't been added to Spotlightr yet, you can also upload videos right from this screen. Just click on the button to add:
Just upload videos as you normally would:
Check this article for more information on uploading videos.
Now we'll add one more section with a PDF training document. Click on Add Section and then select Download under Section Type:
Now click on Upload Document and add the document from your machine. Here we added the document named Setup Images.pdf.
Then name the Section and click the green arrow to save it:
Now that we have our 2 sections created let's add some more information about the course. Click on the Description & Information section:
Let's add a Course Description:
And finally let's add a Welcome Video. Just click on the field and choose your video. Then click Save:
The basics are all done. Let's launch the watch page and see what it looks like after only adding some videos, a document, and adding a description and welcome video:
Now we can build this out from here by adding more customization to it like a logo, lesson and section descriptions, and more.
Check our other articles for details on that.
