Student management provides a way to lock your content in Gallery Pages so you're in control as to who can see your content and when.
This article will explain different ways you can add students to your gallery/course.
In order to activate student only access for your Gallery simply select Sign Up from the drop-down in your Gallery Access tab:
Access with Login
You can enable the Self Registration option. This means that anyone with the gallery link can click the sign up button on the front end and register themselves using an email address and password.
However, if you don't want anyone to create an account by themselves you can keep this option switched off. Now, "you" will have to add/create their account manually for them to use.
You can also turn on Require Approval which lets you review the sign up request and approve it before they can have access to your content.
Fraud Protection:
Switch one Fraud Protection, and set device limit so that your registered students cannot share their login credentials with unauthorized individuals. Please note, each browser is considered a new device even if they're using the same computer/smartphone.
Add a new Student:
To add student to your gallery/course, click on the Add Student button.
If you have this student added to your account already (in another course or gallery for example), you can just search your existing database of students and add them.
To add a new student manually, click Create New Student and enter their email address and password. Click Create.
You can share the email address and password with the user for them to login.
Access Types:
There are several student access expiration parameters available to meet your diverse needs.
Never - This means access never expires and will work for as long as it exists. The only way to remove access would be to delete the actual student.
After X unlocks - This limits the number of times the code can be used. If you choose this option and add 5, the student can only log in 5 times before their access expires.
On a particular date - The student's access will work as many times as it's used, but will expire on the date set.
Time after unlock - Set how long the student can access, activated after the first login. For example, setting this to 10 days means that the student access will work for only 10 days after its initial use.
In this example, I will choose to have the codes expire on December 1st.
Now, any newly students will have limited access until December 2026.
