Why are my videos muted?

Due to new policy restrictions in the latest browser versions, almost every automatically played video will be muted, regardless the settings in Spotlightr. Both desktop and mobile devices are affected by these changes.

For example, in Chrome, auto-play is now allowed only when either the media won't play sound, after the user clicks or taps on the site, or (on desktop) if the user has previously shown an interest in the media on the site. Chrome does this by learning your preferences.
